Bachelor of Arts in Counselling Psychology

The Bachelor of Arts in Counselling Psychology Program is designed for students who desire to serve the community by providing counselling services to individuals, couples, family relations, and counselling ministries, as well as small group facilitation and mediation.

Program Objective

The program is intense, practical, and covers a wide range of issues relevant to people, such as marital problems, drug abuse, trauma counselling, grief and loss, and teenage crisis, among others. This means that after completion, students are prepared to offer counselling services in various situations.

Program Information

In order for the trainee to gain an appreciation of the counselling process, the program provides an opportunity for the trainee to develop greater self-awareness and growth in personal relationships and psychotherapeutic skills through experiential learning and counselling practicum.

Entry Requirements

Minimum of KCSE Mean Grade C+ (plus) or its equivalent, or KCSE Mean Grade of C plain with Pre-university Certificate, or relevant Diploma from a recognized institution.
